The Ladies Auxiliary of the Knight=
s of
Columbus Council # 11366, is an organization of women dedicated to the supp=
ort
of the Knights of Columbus #11366, and their charitable activities. We welc=
ome
ladies ages 21 and over, or 18 and over under the supervision of their moth=
er
as a current member. These ladies should be in good standing in our
parish, or in a local parish which without the benefit of its own Ladies
Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. There is no requirement to be =
the
spouse, widow or daughter of a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #
11366, but we certainly encourage their participation.
Our Ladies Auxiliary meets monthly=
, on
the first Thursday of each month, at 7pm, unless otherwise stated in our we=
ekly
church bulletin. We usually meet in one of the classrooms at the church, but
that is periodically subject to change. Our first priority is to support the
charitable activities of the Knights of Columbus, in anyway that is asked of
us. This includes participating in small ways with the springtime Lenten
dinners, and the Tootsie Roll Drive held in the fall of the year. The
member’s only financial obligation is the annual dues, $15.00 person,
collected in July.
Our only fundraising activity,
specifically for the Ladies Auxiliary, is the annual New Years Eve party, h=
eld
in Jennings Hall. This event is sponsored and hosted by the Ladies
Auxiliary, with the help of the K of C. This year’s theme is
“Seventh Heaven in 2011”, and is guaranteed to be a great time!=
Our
favorite DJ, Mike Barnes, will be returning, and of course he always gives =
us
his all!
Another activity with which we
participate during the year, is the “Back-To-School Drive” in
mid-summer, to benefit a family in need within our parish. Everyone knows w=
ith
the economy being what it is, our parish needs may be even greater this yea=
r,
but with some ‘female ingenuity’, a little hard work, and the
generosity of our parish, we know we will succeed.
This may sound like a lot of work,=
and
it might be for one person, but with a team of women, this becomes a fun,
unifying time to meet, greet and work together under the grace of God. I ho=

ents
and abilities with those of the Knights of Columbus # 11366. There are no s=
et
obligations within the activities, just the opportunity to be part of a gre=
at
group of women, driven to help others.
